11 weeks

Happy 11 weeks!

Sorry I've been MIA, life has been crazy! Work, family, raising Twinjas and football have been consuming me.  ** Not sure if I mentioned it but I call my girls Twinjas= Twin Ninjas since they were in my belly, nun-chuck and fireball!

This week has been great, I haven’t had any morning sickness nor as many food aversions and best of all no gas! Sorry if that’s TMI… it was all new to me because I didn't have them with my first pregnancy.

Today is a big day! My IPs are coming for our 11 week appointment. I’m so nervous and excited at the same time. I’m nervous because we had complications early on (week 5 bleeding) and this will tell us if both McM’s are still in there and healthy. On the other hand I’m excited to see my IP’s and catch up with them, and I really anticipate good news! I feel bad because we haven’t talked much but there hasn't been much going on baby wise. I see today as a big milestone we've been waiting for and have had a lump in my throat for the past 2 days. I can only imagine how my IP’s feel. Crossing my fingers! I always think of how grateful I am to be going through this journey with such an amazing group of people. I can truly see how happy and loving my IP’s are and it’s so warming. I admire their positive spirits and outlook on life. I also love the fact that this is a journey for a whole family. I hope I get to meet everyone someday. I've heard amazing things about the whole gang! OMG Jane just sent me the awesome pictures of everyone, Thank you Thank you!!

Updates… Baby McM’s are now the size of Figs! Some of the babies’ organs are almost complete! Crazy how some things happen so early, this is why it’s important to consume a healthy diet from the beginning! Thanks to McM’s grandparents I've been eating lots of organic veggies! I am starting to show and am in that weird stage where people can’t tell if you've just gained weight (beer belly) or if you’re prego. I went maternity shopping for the first time, and took my girls with me. Being a bargain shopper I first tried all of my regular cheaper stores: Ross, Target, Marshalls, H&M… no luck. I tried on a pair and asked Genevieve if she liked them she asked me if I pooped in my pants, when I told her no she said then why is your butt saggy! I laughed so hard and finally went to a more expensive store (which I had never been to, but desperate times call for desperate measures) and found a pair of pants right away, lil Gen gave me thumbs up, bought!
That same week my mini’s and I did a football photo shoot! This is our 3rd annual 49er photo shoot. Technically it is McM’s first photo shoot as well! I hope they grow up to be 49er fans!! I’m a firm believer that Sundays were made for football and have already bought a large shirt to wear for when my belly gets bigger!

We finally had our movie night party! We had a great turn out, about 45 people!!  Below are some pictures, we had: photo booth, candy, popcorn (the girls and I made pink sugar popcorn and blue sugar popcorn, projector set up out back, and of course food and games! Needless to say all my mommy friends love bringing their mini’s to our get events!

In case you’re interested here’s a little about me… I’m 29, the oldest of 5 sisters. I have one older biological brother who is pretty awesome (I recently took him to his 1st UFC fight for his 40th birthday) and one biological sister (included in the 5). I was taken in at a very young age by an amazing family who lived across the street. At first we would play together every day and then I would stay the night, eventually they moved away and I moved with them. That is my family whom I love with my heart and soul! I am ever so grateful to my mom and dad for taking me under their wing, no questions asked! I have no idea how they did it, raising 5 girls, I now know kids aren’t cheap and my mom at times worked 3 jobs. I will always admire her for her hard work, dedication and endless love. They’ve never treated me any different from their own kids and always made sure we had everything we needed.  In high school I was on the dance team and the swim team! To this day many don’t know that my sisters and I are not all biologically related. I still keep in contact with my real mother, however it is not frequent.  My biological grandpa on the other hand is my hero. He always told me I could do it and that I’d just have to work for it. He taught me that it wouldn’t always be easy but it will all be worth it. I believe that combined with growing up in low income standards has given me the drive to succeed, and goal oriented mind set I have now. I went on to graduate from UC Davis with a BA in communication and a BS in managerial economics, I worked full time (as a sports statistician & waitress) while double majoring to pay my own way. Over the past 6 years I have worked my way up to financial program manager for an environmental consulting firm. Last year I bought my first house, and still love every day in it! My goal for this year is… yup to help bring life to a loving, caring family! I want everyone to know I really put my all into each goal especially this one, which is the most important yet! Now I don’t want you to think I’m all work and no play. One of my biggest beliefs is that you must live life! Some of my favorite past times are; cuddling with my kids and my dog; watching football; country concerts; wine tasting (don’t worry not when prego); dancing;  lifting weights; going to Apple Hill; buying sparkly things, hanging out with my siblings (we are always laughing at each other); and attending sporting events!

                                                               I'm on the far left

Well I think that’s good for now XOXO Jenn
